He is doing all interventional like coronary angiography, coronary angioplasty, cardiac cath studies, pacemaker implantations, device closures, balloon valvoloplasties etc at DY Patil Healthcare. Area of expertise of Dr. Somnath Mallakmir is primary angioplasty in acute myocardial infarction (PAMI) which life saving procedure for heart attack patient. He is Associate Fellow of International Society for Coronary Angiography & intervention (SCAI). He is also International associate member as a cardiovascular professional of American college of Cardiology.
