Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY)

Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY)

The Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) was launched by the
Government of India on September 23, 2018. In Maharashtra, AB-PMJAY was integrated with
the Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yojana (MJPJAY) and implemented in a hybrid model
combining insurance and assurance modes. This integrated scheme officially began in the state
on April 1, 2020.

Under this initiative, health insurance coverage is provided through United India Insurance
Company Limited, a public sector undertaking, while the State Health Assurance Society offers
coverage through the assurance mode.

DY Patil Hospital, Navi Mumbai, has been actively contributing to this scheme, successfully
treating 1,016 patients from other states. In addition to delivering quality healthcare, the hospital
has conducted health check-up camps in various community areas under the guidance of the
Central Government’s Health Mission Programme. These camps aim to raise awareness about
government healthcare schemes and the available health facilities, ensuring more people
benefit from these initiatives.

DY Patil Hospital remains committed to supporting the vision of accessible and inclusive
healthcare for all.
