Mahatma Jyotirao Pule Jan Arogya Yojana (MJPJAY)
Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana (MJPJAY) is the flagship health insurance scheme of the Government of Maharashtra. It provides comprehensive cashless healthcare services for identified diseases through an extensive network of service providers, including both government and private sector facilities. Originally launched as the Rajiv Gandhi Jeevandayee Arogya Yojana on July 2, 2012, in eight districts, the scheme was later expanded to cover 28 districts of Maharashtra from November 21, 2013.
DY Patil Hospital has been empanelled with Jeevandayi-MJPJAY (formerly RGJAY) since January 2013. Under this scheme, the hospital has successfully treated over 25,000 patients for a wide range of diagnoses, including CABG, angioplasty, neurosurgery, dialysis, chemotherapy, orthopedic surgeries, general surgeries, and more.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the hospital made significant contributions under the scheme, earning widespread appreciation. On August 15, 2021, DY Patil Hospital was awarded the prestigious GOLD Certification of Appreciation, presented by the Honorable Guardian Minister and the Thane District Collector. More recently, the hospital was recognized once again as the Best Hospital operating under government schemes and received an Appreciation Certificate from the Thane District Collector.
These accolades underscore DY Patil Hospital’s commitment to delivering quality healthcare services and supporting government health initiatives.
